But What About Those Five Websites You Like?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everyone on that Information Super Highway has a favorite website. But what makes those websites a success or a failure?

Cons
1. When landing on the homepage, the user is immediately inundated with a lot of visuals, almost too many.
2. The option to sign in or create an account is far too small and tucked away in the upper right-hand corner for a user to notice immediately. If one does not know where to look for it, hen one may have difficulty finding it.

Pros
1. One can shop for literally any and everything on this site.
2. Things on eBay are generally cheaper than Amazon.

Cons
1. In the age of social media, Twitter and the like can breed too much familiarity with strangers.
2. The app version of the website is easy to maneuver. Not that the desktop version is difficult, but the ease of use for tweeting, sending emojis, adding gifs, is far more efficient when done using one hand on a mobile device than it is typing on a computer.

Pros
1. Anyone can reach just about any Twitter user instantly, be it a friend or celebrity.
2. Twitter feeds are updated in real time.

Cons
1. The pop-up that one sometimes cannot get around without entering an email address.

Pros
1. Groupon boasts of deals up to 70% off retail pricing.
2. Much like eBay, anything and everything can be purchased on this site.
3. Groupon's website has a simple color scheme and layout.
4. Unlike eBay, Groupon does not have a plethora of scrolling sections on the home page. Thus making it less busy.

Cons
1. While the desktop version of this site is clean and easy to manage. The mobile version does not have the same quality. Scrolling through items on the mobile version takes much longer than it should and going back to a new item is just cumbersome.

Pros
1. The Desktop version of the site immediately makes the user aware of any deals and promotions on the site.
2. Clearly displays options for "New Arrivals," "Womens," "Mens," etcetera.

Cons
1. Studies have shown that the exact same items on eBay can cost more on Amazon. Buyers should shop smart and compare prices and vendors before purchasing goods.

Pros
1. It as a simple user face. The only scrolling feed is not too big or too visually overpowering.
2. The app version of the site is just as simple to maneuver as the desktop site.
3. Much like other online retailers, one can buy almost anything on Amazon.
4. With Amazon Prime, orders are guaranteed within  2 days.
